The Toyota and Raymond Dealer Application Engineering Manager is responsible for all aspects of Bastian Solutions Business within the Toyota and Raymond Dealer Network across North America. In partnership with other Bastian Solutions offices and direct reports that will be located within the Fork Truck Dealerships, the National Application Engineering Manager will be responsible for providing innovative systems and competitive pricing to allow the success of the dealerships in selling material handling and automation systems.

The Toyota & Raymond Dealer National Sales Manager is an integral member of the Bastian Solutions Management team and reports to the President of Bastian Solutions and works with the Toyota VP of Integration. He assists the President and key leadership team in executing strategic business goals and expanding the market presence.

  • MBA or Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 5 years practical business experience in the Material Handling and Industrial Automation Industry.
  • Proven Strategic sales success with great customer service skills.
  • Creative and Innovative Solutions.
  • Competitive in Nature, strong desire to win.
  • Competent in AutoCad
  • Strong computer skills with: MS Office and MS Dynamics (AX)

General Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor the Sales Force to meet their annual goals.
  • Conduct effective annual employee reviews on or before their anniversary dates.
  • Continually enhance internal and external processes (automation, policies, procedures, etc.)
  • Excellent representation and development of our key supplier product lines and services. 
  • Recruiting and hiring the best talent 
  • Maintains extremely strong customer relationships
  • Create and maintain effective individual employee incentive plans.
  • Negotiate discounts with suppliers
  • Review major proposals (greater than $75,000) for accuracy and risk assessment (terms and conditions) prior to release.
  • Ensure your sales force has the best selling tools
  • Provide data analysis and consulting on Engineering/Consulting Studies
  • Conduct a weekly update meeting (no more than 1 hour).
  • Negotiate customer contracts.
  • Assist project managers in the field during start-up or as necessary if they are struggling.
  • Spend time working with each of your employees in their specific job function to ensure effectiveness, productivity, and consistency with established policies and procedures.
  • Sell and promote the BSS, BAE, and Bastian Robotics products and services.
  • Prepare all sales forecasts and create the new annual budgets.
  • Create and monitor performance metrics vs. goal.
  • Develop new Accounts (New Business Development)
